Tennis AllStars is the creation of Executive Director Robert E. Morse, III. After numerous experiences in working with youth as a coach in tennis and other sport programs and as a counselor in adolescent rehabilitation programs, Robert E. Morse recognized the need for a youth centered program that combines physical activity and proactive decision-making.            Tennis AllStars is this vision. Under the leadership of "Coach Morse".

· 2004 Tennis AllStars became incorporated November 30, 2004

· 2005 Tennis AllStars received its first matching grant from Akron, Ohio's Department Of Planning & Urban development.

· 2006 received a 501 (c) (3) status April 21, 2006. The board of directors consists of individuals from varied professions that focus on the overall well-being of youth.

· 2006 - 2009 matching grant from Akron, Ohio's Department of Development and Planning & Urban. MacD/ Summer Enrichment Program

· 2009 Mason Community Learning Center Summer Enrichment Program serviced over 50 youth

· 2006 - 2008 Ohio Commission on Minority Health funded a collaborative grant between Tennis AllStars and The University of Akron, Akron, Ohio entitled, Project MacD, Mobile AllStars Combating Type 2 Diabetes. Project MacD implemented a research-base, culturally responsive, community and school mobile program focusing on physical fitness, health promotion and prevention of Type 2 Diabetes and relation health behaviors in minority male and females youth ages8-18 years. Project MacD was funded for $126,000 each year during

· 2006 - 2008 The Ohio Commission on Minority Health funded a collaborative grant between Tennis AllStars and The University of Akron, Akron, Ohio entitled, Project MacD, Mobile AllStars Combating Type 2 Diabetes.
